The project deals with the study of the relationships between recent demographic trends and social behaviors and has the purpose of advancing in the knowledge of reciprocal relationships, of formulating interpretative hypotheses of the behaviors in progress and of providing useful elements to direct intervention actions by decision makers politicians. The transformations that have taken place in the structure of the population, the need to support women's participation in the labor market; the phenomenon of violence against women, the evolution of gender relations, immigration from non-EU countries, the need to promote the interest of the population, and especially of young people, in scientific research are all relevant aspects from the point of view socially, politically and economically in relation to the changes underway and the impact they will have on our society. It is therefore important to continue investigating these issues, through specific studies and the development of new methods of analysis and intervention tools.
