COMO Knowledge - Mobility

Within the Project, studies and research are carried out on advanced training in relation to the demand for new skills and knowledge in the world of work and the mobility and migration of human resources.

In particular, the analysis of the relationship between training, research and innovation is carried out with particular emphasis on intangible capital, human resources and high-level education. In carrying out this research activity, we make use of strong national and international collaborations and in particular of participation in policy and research networks (OECD, EU, Unesco), collaborations with Italian and foreign institutions and universities as well as funding from national sources and international

The studies conducted focus on training, careers, highly skilled migrations, brain drain, waste and circulation. Data is collected and analyzed on the international mobility of high qualifications, university students and on the flows of researchers inside or outside Europe with particular reference to the identification of best practices.

In particular, studies on the diaspora and the increase of qualitatively different perspectives in the study of human migration within new contexts of globalization and multiculturalism are carried out, with particular attention to the historical reconstruction of the Greek diaspora in Italy and qualitative investigation on the second Hellenic generation in Italy.
