• The project includes studies and research on advanced training with relation to the demand for new skills and knowledge in the world of work and mobility and migration of human resources.
• In particular, the project analyses the relationship between training, research and innovation with specific emphasis on intangible capital, human resources and high-level education. This research activity is carried out with important Italian and international partners. In particular, the CNR-IRPPS takes part in policy and research networks (OECD, EU, UNESCO), partners Italian and foreign institutions and universities, and receives funding from national and international sources.
• The studies conducted revolve around training, careers, migration of highly skilled persons, the brain drain, waste and circulation. Data are collected and analysed on the international mobility of highly skilled persons, university students and flows of researchers inside or outside Europe. Particular emphasis is given to singling out best practices.
• In particular, the project includes studies on the diaspora, while adding different qualitative perspectives to human migration studies within new contexts of globalization and multiculturalism. Particular attention is paid to the historical reconstruction of the Greek diaspora in Italy and to qualitative investigation of the second generation of Greeks in Italy.
