Following a line of activity that began in 2013 in partnership with the Liceo Scientifico E. Majorana in Latina and the Associazione Banca del tempo TempoAmico, IRPPS has signed a partnership agreement to bring statistical and social research into schools. Students are invited to follow authentic research projects as part of the obligatory work experience activities. Following the model of social research based on statistical data and qualitative analysis methodologies, the research deals with important topics such as integration, violence and deviant behaviour among young people, the importance and role of the third sector as a supplier of essential services for the collectivity and for civil co-existence. At the end of every programme one or more reports are produced in collaboration with the students which give an account both of the activity carried out and of the educational goals achieved, as well as the tools created for the diffusion of scientific culture and innovative teaching methods based on lab and participatory techniques. Furthermore, demonstrative events are organized which are open to the public and to those students who did not directly take part in the projects.
