By regenerating a prestigious tradition of studies, the CNR returns to providing quantitative analyzes and case studies to inform the debate and political choices on research and innovation, with a valid documentary basis. A contribution for those who work in universities, public research bodies, companies and in general in the production and dissemination of new knowledge. A useful tool for public opinion to understand the Italian research and innovation system.

To the Report, coordinated by Daniele Archibugi, Emanuela Reale and Fabrizio Tuzi, and promoted by Department of Social and Human Sciences - Cultural Heritage (DSU-CNR) are attended by colleagues from four CNR institutes - IRPPS, ISSIRFA, IRCRES and IASI, together with colleagues and scholars from the university, from public research bodies such as ENEA, from industry.
