Lucio Pisacane is a researcher at the Institute for Research on Population and Social Policies (IRPPS-CNR). He previously worked in the International Department of Legambiente (the main Italian environmental NGO).
In the years immediately following his PhD at “La Sapienza” University in Rome in 2011 his research interests were poverty and the agricultural labour market.
His current research themes are human resources for science/technology and policies on higher education, with a focus on the gender perspective. He is participating in the European H2020 GENERA project on this topic. His research interests include Open Science (in the framework of the OpenUP project) and the agricultural labour force in Italy (he collaborates with the FLAI CGIL Osservatorio Placido Rizzotto).
Over the last few years he has headed several European projects, both in the 7th Framework Programme and Horizon2020. He has been an evaluator on several EU research projects.
