The human and social values are as important as the findings and evidence in public policy choices, this is what the majority of boys and girls think, especially those from high school (“Liceo” – Classic or Language studies- and teachers’ training College) in relation to other schools (the gender element in this case is secondary).

This result could be interpreted as a further symptom of exclusion of science from culture of philosophers Croce and Gentile, or, conversely, could give voice to that part of the international debate that deems it necessary a more close encounter and a greater cohesion between the two cultures and not having to give up as humanistic when dealing with science and vice versa.
