The activity analyzes some aspects of innovation and evaluation of social policies in order to understand the results and effects of social, educational, training, social security, welfare, etc., in relation to some variables. In this context, important collaboration networks have been established with other CNR Institutes (IRCRES, IEIIT, ITD, IIT, ISTC, ILC) strengthening the role of the Institute as a competent subject in the field of evaluation. Among the activities to be mentioned: in the “Città Educante” project, financed in the 2016-2018; for the Commission for the Investigation of Occupational Injuries of the Italian Senate; for the Italian Red Cross it is conducting an activity to evaluate the social impact of volunteering organized in Italy. In addition to the continuation of the research on immigration, the comparative research on “The losers of the Crisis” with Worwick University and the funding of the British Academy continued, the results of which were presented at the Vienna World Sociology Forum and at the International Association of Industrial Relations in Milan. Finally, collaborations were started with local bodies and professional communities for the realization of research activities, consultancy training in the field of social services (i.e. Comune di Monterotondo).
