The aim of the IRPPS consultancy project was to assist the CRS-Caritas workers in Rome in analysing the demand for assistance from the Catholic Relief Services by those who, despite coming from countries in situations of crisis and/or conflict, live in Italy without having applied for international protection and are therefore very often in situations of illegality. The task of the Institute’s researchers was to help not only to analyse the situations of vulnerability but also to outline intervention methods. Alongside the consultancy activity, original research work was also carried out on a group of migrants assisted by the Rome Caritas. This produced a final report also containing indications on how to operate social intervention policies for beneficiaries of international protection.
