The research conducted by the group can be traced back to the <\/span><strong>four fundamental principles<\/strong><span> for the development, equitable generation, distribution, and access to knowledge identified by UNESCO: cultural diversity, access to education, access to information, and freedom of expression. The group members bring together multiple disciplinary competencies: social research and sociology of organizations, statistics and qualitative methods, gender studies, political science, and the study of risk creation.<\/span><br \/><span>Much of the research work falls <\/span><strong>within the area of science policy<\/strong><span>, particularly addressing the themes of human resources, gender equity in scientific research, tertiary education, and international mobility. The studies encompass <\/span><strong>various thematic focuses<\/strong><span> including Open Science and Open Access, the measurement and evaluation of research through non-traditional tools such as relational\/self-evaluation and altmetrics, and the creation and management of risks. The group manages several <\/span><strong>funded projects<\/strong><span>, particularly from the European Commission's Framework Programmes. The group serves as <\/span><strong>the CNR reference point for gender policies <\/strong><span>through the coordination <\/span><span>of the Working Group on Gender Budget and Plan.<\/span><\/div>\n
