The activity is <strong>longitudinal<\/strong> in nature and aims to study, monitor, and investigate ongoing changes in human interaction during adolescence through five surveys scheduled to be conducted between 2025 and 2029. <\/p><p>Specifically, research personnel conduct annual in-depth interviews by administering a semi-structured electronic questionnaire in <strong>CAPI<\/strong> (Computer-assisted personal interviewing) mode to students of upper secondary schools in Rome located in areas with different socio-economic and demographic characteristics.<\/p><p>Through this periodic research activity and the interdisciplinary approach of the MUSA group, it will be possible to investigate the effects on relational and psychological well-being of the changes occurring among young people at the behavioral and attitudinal level. For this reason, the project, building on over a decade of studies on the subject, includes the analysis of a complex and extensive set of variables concerning <strong>both sociological and psychological factors of human interaction<\/strong>, in order to understand the developmental processes and conditioning agents of opinions and choices that can support or compromise well-being and social expectations. The expected result constitutes a holistic and complex understanding of the state of adolescence, highlighting <strong>family and environmental conditioning factors and endemic and emerging social pathologies<\/strong>. Specifically, the general project objective concerns the analysis of attitudes and behaviors of students in public upper secondary schools for the purpose of identifying causal links regarding social and individual factors that compromise adolescent well-being, with particular attention to <strong>online and offline interactional behaviors and changes<\/strong> and social conditioning factors.   <\/p><p>The MiB project studies interactional and individual variables pertaining to <strong>four macro-thematic areas<\/strong>:<\/p><ul><li>Section 1. Socio-demographic information relating to respondents and their families of origin; <\/li><li>Section 2. Social interaction and well-being; <\/li><li>Section 3. Deviance and social conditioning; <\/li><li>Section 4. Values and opinions. <\/li><\/ul><p>The acquired data are processed based on an analysis plan structured into <strong>base variables and synthetic variables<\/strong> obtained from the original ones through linear transformations or recodings that respond to the need to create <strong>indicators<\/strong> for measuring the phenomena under investigation.<\/p><p><em>Although data processing poses no risks to the privacy of the individuals concerned, a DPIA (Data Protection Impact Assessment) was developed before the start of the study and approved by the CNR Data Protection Officer on November 26, 2024. The MiB project also received a favorable opinion from the CNR Commission for Ethics and Integrity in Research on January 13, 2025.  <\/em><\/p><p>Starting in 2025, a MiB research report with related infographics will be developed annually.
