Emiliana Mangone is a Full Professor of Sociology of Cultural and Communication Processes at the Department of Political and Communication Sciences of the University of Salerno<\/a>.<\/p>

She is the director of the Narratives and Social Changes-International Research Group<\/a> (NaSC-IRG, 2020-2026) and was the director of the International Centre for Studies and Research on \u201cMediterranean Knowledge\u201d<\/a> (2015-2020).<\/p>

Her main research interests are in the field of cultural and institutional systems, with a particular focus on social representations, relational processes, knowledge and narrative as key elements of human action, migration studies, and the study of the thought of Pitirim A. Sorokin.<\/p>

Recently she published: Pitirim A. Sorokin: Rediscovering a Master of Sociology (Vernon Press, 2023), Narratives and Social Change. Social Reality in Contemporary Society (Springer, 2022); Social Solidarity (Mondadori, 2022); 2020); Beyond the Dichotomy Between Altruism and Egoism. Society, Relationship and Responsibility (Information Age Publishing, 2020).<\/span> <\/p>
