Recover Together Recover Strong<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

July 19 – 21, 2022<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sumatra<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

From July 19 to 21, the Women 20<\/a> summit will meet in Sumatra, Indonesia. This is an Engagement Group of the G20<\/a>, representing the world’s 20 most industrialized countries, organized around the slogan used by Indonesia for the G20<\/a>: Recover Together, Recover Stronger. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Sveva Avveduto<\/a> from the CNR<\/a> will lead the Italian delegation. The W20<\/a> group, which addresses all G20<\/a> themes from a female perspective, will present the results of a year’s work in the form of a Communiqu\u00e9<\/a><\/strong><\/em>. This will be delivered to the G20<\/a> at the end of the Summit so that world leaders can incorporate gender equality and female empowerment into the conclusions of the G20<\/a> to be held in November. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The W20<\/a> has identified five priority areas, the first concerning non-discrimination and equality in every sector\u2014from education to work, entrepreneurship, health, technology, and energy\u2014as well as in public and private life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In particular, world leaders are asked to take concrete measures to close the gender pay gap. An important area is education for boys and girls, aimed at eliminating gender stereotypes and the difficulties girls face in pursuing scientific studies and careers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
