Corrado Bonifazi, demographer and Associate Researcher, served as Director of the Institute for Research on Population and Social Policies of the National Research Council from 2014 to 2018. He was the head of the Working Group International Migration in Europe of the European Association for Population Studies. He is one of the editors of the volume International migration in Europe. New trends and new methods of analysis published by Amsterdam University Press in 2008 and has written L’immigrazione straniera in Italia (1998 and 2007) and L’Italia delle migrazioni (2013), both published by Il Mulino. He is also the author of numerous other publications on migration phenomena and demographic trends. In 2015, he won the “Prof. Luigi Tartufari” International Prize from the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei, awarded for “Migratory processes and cultural internationalization”.
