Maria Dentale holds a Ph.D. in Methodology of Social Sciences from the Department of Communication and Social Research at Sapienza University of Rome, where she served as a Research Fellow during the period 2021-2022.

She is currently a Research Fellow at the Institute for Research on Population and Social Policies (IRPPS) of the CNR.

Her main research interests include the evaluation of public policies, with a focus on the experimentation of complex evaluative research designs (mixed methods and mixed approaches).
