Researcher at IRPPS-CNR since 1994. His main fields of study are the welfare state and social policy. Within these broader sociological themes, he has carried out various specific research activities in the following fields:

• Poverty, marginality, and social assistance;

• Labor market and policies;

• Immigration, Roma people, and integration policies;

• Population aging and active aging;

• Family and social services;

• Health and healthcare.
