The Right of Access
Current legislation provides for two different types of Civic Access.
- is the right of anyone to request documents, information, or data subject to mandatory publication under current legal provisions, when public administrations have failed to publish them.
(pursuant to Article 5, paragraph 1, of Legislative Decree No. 33/2013 as amended by Article 6 of Legislative Decree No. 97/2016).
- is the right of anyone to request documents or data beyond those subject to mandatory publication, in compliance with the limits relating to the protection of legally relevant public and private interests, as provided by Article 5-bis of the aforementioned legislative decree.
