• Expert in Health Economics, particularly in evaluation techniques related to Technology Assessment (evolution of cost-benefit and cost-effectiveness methods).
• In collaboration with the Centre for Economic and International Studies, currently participates in projects concerning the prevention sector, especially oncological prevention, and the sector of drugs used in therapies for various diseases (inflammatory bowel diseases, depression, breast cancer).
Education and Teaching
• Graduated with honors from Sapienza University of Rome (with CIRIEC award) in 1987. Lecturer in technical-economic and mathematical subjects in public secondary schools from 1987 to 1990.
• Researcher at the National Research Council from 1990 to 2001 at the Institute of Biomedical Technologies, CNR (and from 1999 to 2001 head of the Medical Informatics and Health Economics Department). From 2001 to present, researcher at the Institute for Research on Population and Social Policies.
• Project Manager and Head of Operational Units since 2007. Member of Scientific Committees and Expert Groups in Italy and abroad.
• Lecturer in Health Economics, Welfare Policy and Economics, and Public Finance at Sapienza University of Rome and the University of Camerino from 2007 to 2014. Lecturer in first and second level master’s programs at numerous universities and other public institutions.
