Dr. Pecoraro’s work is part of the Health and Society research activity, for which he is the coordinator, where he primarily deals with the analysis, design, and development of information systems in the clinical field with particular attention to the following aspects: analysis and modeling of business processes; identification, collection, and analysis of requirements to determine properties and functionalities of information systems; design and implementation of software architectures; design of conceptual models based on clinical data standards to facilitate interoperability between different information systems; evaluation of healthcare services through the identification and analysis of quality indicators; design of clinical data warehouses.

In addition to the research activities described, Dr. Pecoraro is a member of the IRPPS Editorial Policy Working Group with the roles of editor and manager of the web portal for Electronic Publishing. Furthermore, Dr. Pecoraro is part of the Working Group that handled the modernization of the Institute’s website.
Dr. Pecoraro also teaches, in collaboration with Prof. Clemente of IBB-CNR, the course “Quality Control and Organization of Healthcare Systems” included in the Medical Engineering degree program at Tor Vergata University of Rome.
