Curriculum Vitae

Information

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Biology for Sustainability from the University of Naples Parthenope, graduating with honors (110/110 cum laude). Her master’s thesis, focused on environmental accounting applied to the sustainable management of Posidonia oceanica banquettes, led to the publication of a scientific article in the journal Water, titled: “Ecological Implications of Posidonia oceanica Banquette Removal: Potential Loss of Natural Capital and Ecosystem Services”.

During her master’s studies, she completed an internship at ENEA (Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development) in Portici, where she enhanced her theoretical and practical skills related to the LCA methodology.

Her research interests include ecology, environmental sustainability, ecosystem accounting, marine ecosystems, environmental biology, GIS mapping, economic and ecological assessment, and statistical analysis. She collaborated on the project “Environmental accounting of the Ustica Island Marine Protected Area” at the National Inter-University Consortium for Marine Sciences (CoNISMa).

She is currently a PhD student at the Department of Science and Technology, UNESCO Chair in “Environment, Resources and Sustainable Development” of the University of Naples Parthenope.

At the Institute for Research on Population and Social Policies (IRPPS), she participates in the project on the Assessment of vulnerable marine ecosystems, assessment of socio-economic services and anthropogenic threats to support biodiversity conservation in the central Mediterranean (VMED). The project aims to provide key information on the biodiversity and marine ecosystems of the Mediterranean Sea (Strait of Sicily – GSA 16 and 10), the ecosystem services provided, anthropogenic activities and associated pressures, the risk of degradation resulting from cumulative pressures and climate change, as well as the identification of specific conservation areas. Furthermore, her research activity focuses on the ecological and economic implications and the sustainable management of Posidonia oceanica banquettes.
