Information
Technologist associated with the Institute for Research on Population and Social Policies of the CNR. Since 1993, she has been responsible for the ‘Computer Processing and Database Service’. Over these years, she has provided research support primarily concerning the processing of complex data from opinion surveys and other sources. Her research interests extend mainly to certain methodological aspects of population data studies, with in-depth examination and applications of statistical techniques including univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis.
Over these years, she has particularly focused on the design and definition of opinion survey questionnaires. The topics addressed include: family and fertility studies, migration, highly skilled migration, youth (perception of science), the elderly, and knowledge of demographic issues. In recent years, her research interests have also extended to the study of visits to the institute’s website; indeed, a permanent Observatory for website visits has been established, and a web data mining service has been set up at the request of researchers. This service regularly analyzes the critical issues and needs related to web pages, in order to maintain the communicative effectiveness of published material and provide constant support to the Institute’s research.
