Compare Colorectal Cancer Patterns of Care between Italy and USA by using Italian Cancer Registry Linked Data and SEER-Medicare data
Funding source: National Cancer Institute (USA) ($30,000)
The purpose of the research is to compare data on initial treatments for patients diagnosed with colorectal cancer collected in two Italian cancer registries with similar data collected by the U.S. SEER-MEDICARE cancer registries. The main objective is to compare colorectal cancer treatment pathways in the first year after diagnosis between the United States (using SEER-MEDICARE data) and Italy (using data from the Veneto and Tuscany Cancer Registries and Hospital Discharge Records).
