PATTERNS OF CARE

Compare Colorectal Cancer Patterns of Care between Italy and USA by using Italian Cancer Registry Linked Data and SEER-Medicare data
Funding Source: National Cancer Institute (USA) ($ 30.000)
The aim of the research is the comparison between data on initial treatments for patients diagnosed with colorectal cancer collected in two Italian cancer registries, with similar data collected by the US cancer registries SEER-MEDICARE. The main objective is the comparison of the therapeutic pathways of colorectal cancers in the first year after diagnosis between the United States (using SEER-MEDICARE data) and Italy (using data from the Veneto and Tuscany Cancer Registers, and Hospital Discharge Forms).
