She holds a degree in Economics with a specialization in statistics and operations research, obtained a Master’s degree in Economic Demography from the Institut de Sciences Politiques in Paris in 1994, and a PhD in Demographic Statistics from the University of Padua in 1998.

She currently works as a researcher at the National Center for Disease Prevention and Health Promotion of the Italian National Institute of Health.

She primarily focuses on the development of statistical and epidemiological methods applied to the health field, economic impact assessments on the healthcare system regarding disease diagnosis and treatment, particularly with applications related to neoplasms. She is associated with the Institute for Research on Population and Social Policies of the CNR, with which she has collaborated since 1998.
