She holds a degree in Anthropology and a PhD in Sustainability Sciences. She is currently a research fellow at this and a member of the interdisciplinary research group JUST.
Her research focuses on the relationships between socio-ecological transitions toward sustainability and gender and intersectional inequalities.

She obtained a PhD in Sustainability Sciences from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, with a dissertation awarded in the first edition of the Climate Change Research Prize of the Climate Change Research Program (PINCC-UNAM).
From 2023 to 2026, she was a fixed-term researcher at this Institute, where she participated in the research and coordination activities of the Horizon project gEneSys – Transforming Gendered Interrelations of Power and Inequalities in Transition Pathways to Sustainable Energy Systems.
Her research focuses on the social and gender dimensions of socio-ecological transitions, socio-environmental vulnerability, and the social implications of biodiversity conservation. Her interests lie at the intersection of environmental anthropology, gender studies, feminist political ecology, and critical epistemologies. In her work, she primarily employs qualitative, mixed-methods, and participatory methodologies.
In addition to her research activities, she has gained experience in foundations and social cooperatives, working on processes of social inclusion, training, and education.
She was visiting student at the Centro de Investigaciones y Estudios Superiores en Antropología Social (CIESAS Sureste, Mexico) and at the Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO Cuba Program) at the University of Havana.
She is a member of the Association Women and Science and a member of the Nature, Research and Society Working Group of the Department of Earth System Sciences and Environmental Technologies (DSSTTA-CNR). She also participates in several networks, including Greenpeace’s Voices for Climate, the Energy and Social Science Network (EASSN), and Women & Inclusivity in Sustainable Energy Research (WISER). She is a long-standing member of the Italian Ethnological Mission in Mexico (MEIM).
