The IRPPS objectives in the EVIDENCE Project are to carry out a classification of relevant concepts of electronic evidence domain and related fields (criminal law, criminal procedure). This lead to a common and shared understanding of electronic evidence gathering and exchanging. EVIDENCE Categorization activity aiming at providing the project and the actors involved with a common language to be utilized for identifying, connecting and aligning all relevant activities within the Project. The categorization exercise has been important in the way towards the elaboration of the EVIDENCE Road Map, that is, guidelines, recommendations, technical standards for realizing the missing Common European Framework for the systematic and uniform application of new technologies in the collection, use and exchange of Electronic Evidence.
