She is a social demographer, former Research Director at the IRPPS and currently a CNR Associate. You have developed innovative research techniques in the socio-demographic and socio-political fields and have dealt with equal opportunities in science and society for more than 30 years. You have many years of experience in the development and coordination of national and international research projects in the field of social policies, equity and gender equal opportunities in scientific careers. You have gained extensive experience in the field of scientific communication by coordinating projects on the theme of the transfer of scientific results to the general public and the elimination of stereotypes about science and scientists. During her career at the CNR, she was a member of the ETAN group; member of the EC expert group on Gender and Scientific Excellence; EU Ambassador for Equal Opportunities in Science; coordinator of numerous groups and committees of experts; responsible for scientific communication events of European interest.

Main publications

He has written over 300 articles, books and reports in the field of social relations in light of the policies and actions that can influence them. In the field of gender and science, she co-authored the ETAN Report Science policies in the European Union, ETAN Report European Community, European Commission-Research Directorate General, Luxembourg (2000); She Figures, EU, Luxembourg (2004); T.he Gender Challenge in Research funding, EU Commission, Luxembourg (2009).
