AFEV – HIGHER EDUCATION, EDUCATION AND EVALUATION

The dynamics of education (and with particular force those of higher education) appear today to undergo remarkable changes as a result of the profound economic and social transformations underway in contemporary society, from production to the labor market and the world of professions and work. These changes reverberate in the mission of educational institutions and in all aspects of their operational modalities. Research in this area therefore constitutes a significant point of observation both on the changes in the institutional and operational profiles of higher education institutions and, more generally, of education, and on the transformations of society itself, also in light of the policies and instruments (e.g., evaluation) that it adopts in its relationship with the world of education.
The objective of AFEV is to develop research activities on the aforementioned transformations, with particular attention to the analysis of educational policies, educational processes, the plurality of actors who are protagonists (teachers, administrative and managerial staff, students), the multiplicity of forms that the learning process can assume, the variety of organizational and control expressions that oversee it, etc.
The research methods will mainly be those of literature analysis, statistical analysis, case studies and field research, carried out through field operations and via web.
