Maria Chiara Caschera obtained an M.S. degree in computer science engineering at the University of Rome ‘La Sapienza’ in 2005 and a Ph.D. in computer science and automation at the University ‘Roma Tre’ in 2009. Currently, she is a Researcher at the National Research Council (CNR), Institute for Research on Population and Social Policies (IRPPS) in Rome. Her research interests are mainly focused on human-machine interaction, multimodal Interaction, ambiguity, social networks, emotion and sentiment analysis, knowledge management and innovation, fake news detection, social informatics, co-design methods, and collaborative and co-creative and participative approaches. She is the author of more than 60 papers in international journals, conferences, and books. She has organized several international workshops and special issues as a guest editor in international journals. She is Associate Editor for IEEE Access (ISSN 2169-3536), Guest Associate Editor for Pattern Recognition – Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence (ISSN 2624-8212), Topic Editor for Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence (ISSN 2624-8212) and for Frontiers in Computer Science (ISSN 2624-9898), Review Editor for AI for Human Learning and Behavior Change – Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence (ISSN 2624-8212), member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Advances in Applied Sciences (IJAAS), (ISSN 2252-8814) and TELKOMNIKA (Telecommunication, Computing, Electronics and Control) (ISSN: 1693-6930). She is a member of several program committees of international workshops and conferences. She is a scientific reviewer for several PRIN, FCS-H2020 PON, Accordo Innovazione, and Agenda Digitale FRI projects. From 2005 to now, she has participated in more than 20 European and national projects.
