REPORT ON RESEARCH AND INNOVATION IN ITALY

Reviving a prestigious tradition of studies in the economics and politics of science and technology, through this periodic Report, the CNR provides quantitative analyses and case studies to inform debate and policy decisions on research and innovation, with a solid documentary foundation. It is a contribution for those working in Universities, Public Research Institutions, enterprises, and generally in the production and dissemination of new knowledge. At the same time, the Report is a useful tool for the public to understand the Italian research and innovation system.

The Report, coordinated by Daniele Archibugi, Emanuela Reale, and Fabrizio Tuzi, and promoted by the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities – Cultural Heritage (DSU-CNR), involves various CNR Institutes – IRPPS, ISSIRFA, IRCRES, together with scholars from Universities, Public Research Institutions such as ENEA, and industry.
